Often known as "Brazilian jazz", the choro (born in the slums of Rio in the late nineteenth century) is the first urban music typical from Rio.
Chorando al compás, a new project led by Pedro Bastos with the voice of Ginesa Ortega, is a fusion of flamenco and choro (two music styles with parallel origins). Yet more evidence that Brazilian influence in the Barcelona music scene is increasingly incisive. Ginesa Ortega vocals Pedro Bastos art direction and bandoline Jesús de Joaquín Puchero Spanish guitar Cristiano Fischer 7-string guitar.
